We’d like to reassure you that we are continuing to closely monitor COVID-19 (Coronavirus).  We recognize the ongoing fast-paced situation could be unsettling and that you may have some concerns about your stay. If you have some concerns about your stay please see our FAQs section below.

What should I do about my planned visit to the Ethan Allen Hotel?

The Ethan Allen Hotel is open and you can continue to enjoy your stay as planned and count on us!

What is your cancellation policy if I need to change my reservation?

We are constantly updating our global cancellation policy to reflect the most recent developments related to the COVID-19 and to offer our guests as much flexibility and planning comfort as possible.

  • We allow free modifications or free cancellations for all existing and new reservations for stays until April 30, 2020
  • Please note that any modification to existing reservations will be subject to availability and any rate difference  
  • Guests who booked via online travel agents or third-party travel professionals are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies  
  • For reservations with stays after April 30, 2020, our normal cancellation policy applies

Is your dining restaurant, pool and fitness room closed because of government regulation?

Yes, we must adhere to the government mandates of closing the dining room, pool and fitness room.

What options are you offering for F&B?

We are partnering with several local eateries who will deliver to the hotel for your convenience

What type of cleaners does the hotel use for the guest rooms and public areas?

 We have been using are antibacterial and effective in killing viruses, bacteria, and other germs. A complete list is available at the front desk.

  • Our entire housekeeping team has a specific protocol in place on advanced cleaning methods to take precautionary, extraordinary steps to ensure the safety of our guest and hotel team.  
  • In addition to our normal cleaning schedule, we have added 16 hours daily to continuously clean all “touchpoints” in our public areas. 

 Do you provide hand sanitizers?

 Yes.  There are hand sanitizing stations available throughout the hotel in both the public areas and for our entire hotel team.

All of Ethan Allen Hotel's rooms and 21 Lake Restaurant & Bar are entirely smoke-free. There are designated areas outside the hotel for smoking.

    Available to guests 24/7, the Business Center is equipped with a computer, high-speed Internet, a copier/printer/scanner and fax service.

  • Gift Shop

    Whether you’re looking for something to take to your room or to bring to someone back home, our well-stocked gift shop has everything from snacks and travel sundries to souvenirs and small gifts

  • Courtesy Van and Transportation

    Guests arriving or departing by Connecticut Limo or Airport Shuttle can request a hotel courtesy van pick-up or drop-off at the Connecticut Limo terminal located 2/10 mile from the hotel. Taxi Service is available for times when the hotel courtesy van is not available.

    Courtesy car pick-up and drop-off is also provided to the Danbury, CT train station, Brewster, NY train station and within a 5-mile radius of the hotel and is based upon availability. Please note the hotel courtesy van operates on a limited schedule, based on driver availability and may not be available during certain times daily. Our van cannot transport guests to area restaurants/bars. Please call the hotel in advance to check availability and to then schedule a pick-up or drop-off by calling 203-744-1776. Taxi Service is available at a charge by calling either A-CAB Taxi at 203-792-8294 or MAFFEI's Taxi at 203-792-0029.

  • Dry Cleaning Services

    Dry Cleaning Service is available Monday through Friday. Please complete the valet form provided in your hotel guestroom closet and drop off at the Front Desk before 8:30 a.m. Garments will return same day by 6:00 p.m. and will be delivered to your room. Valet is not available during the weekend (Saturday, Sunday) or on holidays.

  • Fitness Center

    Open around the clock to hotel guests, the Fitness Center is equipped with treadmills, cycles, elliptical trainers, body steps, free weights and a universal machine.

  • Pool

    Take a swim or soak up some sun from May to August. In addition to complimentary towels, guests can enjoy drinks, snacks and cocktails from Fairfields Lounge.

  • Complimentary Internet

    Free wireless high-speed Internet access is available in all suites, guestrooms and throughout the hotel.

  • Pets

    Ethan Allen Hotel welcomes your furry friends. There is a $50.00 US dollar fee per stay and rooms are based on availability. All pets (maximum of 2) must be registered with the Front Desk and guests need to sign a waiver accepting responsibility for any damages.

    Pets are not allowed in the room unattended. If an unregistered pet is discovered, the credit card on file will be charged a $250.00 pet cleaning fee.

  • Room Service

    Guestroom dining is available if you choose to relax with a meal in the privacy of your room.

    Room Service hours are:
    Monday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
